how to install cities skylines mods

Subscribe to the mods you want, start the game. In game, go to the Content Manager and activate the mods you wish to use.
I'd advise you to do this one at a time if you are unfamiliar with the mod, so that you can learn to use it properly without confusion.

Edit: ^^^This

Just subscribe on the mod you like and it will automatically download it to your game. Then just activate it on your mod setting on main menu.

1. Search a mod that you like in the workshop.

2. Click the subscribe button. The mod is being downloaded (most mods are only a couple of hunded kB in size, so it shouldn't take long.

3. Start Cities: Skylines.

4. Go to 'Content Manager'

5. Go to 'Mods' (left frame)

6. Look up the mod you downloaded and make sure it is enabled (tick the box)

7. Load your city or start a new one.

8. Have fun!

I have the Windows 10 Edition, downloaded from the Microsoft Store on my PC. I can't download Mods to it, because on the Title Page, there is no Content Manager option. So how do I download Mods, or do I have to uninstall this version and get another?

If possible get a refund for the Windows 10 edition, since that is the console edition and as you noticed it has no access to mods nor assets.

Is there a Windows 10-friendly version that I can purchase and download from Steam that has the Content Editor feature?

Never mind. Downloaded a version with Content Creator, and it unleashed a malicious attack on my computer that my Hitman.Pro Alert blocked. Back to the bare-bones version with no mods.

You get mods from the steam workshop. I've never had a security problem with mods. The most important thing is to READ everything the author writes about the mod. Mods are very hands on. By their nature mods are an unsupported feature, so they can break when the game patches.

Tried again, and the game crashed. Gave me this error: 2020-03-39_133842 next to game executable.

Can these folders be deleted?

Another one crashed it: 2020-03-29_155284.
Is this an essential file?

N such luck. Guess I gotta try another way of getting this game to work. It keeps crashing and causing me to repeatedly go through Automatic Repair. I disabled all the apps, but still no luck.

I'm trying to get some mods working too but i haven't got an "enable" button in my Content Manager -> Mods screen.

Any idea why?

Never mind. I was looking in "Steam Workshop" not "Mods".
